How To Play Gala Bingo

If you've not been to Gala Bingo yet, you might wonder how it all works. Well, playing is easy, and with big money up for grabs every night, you could be a winner on your very first visit! Plus, it couldn't be simpler to join the fun…
To play at Gala Bingo you will need to join but don’t worry it’s very simple and only takes a minute. Please be aware you must be over 18 to play and if you look under 21 years you may be asked for photographic I.D. on entry.
You can join for free and play straight away. You will be given your own membership card when you join, please keep it safe as you will need it when you win!! If it’s the first time you have ever played bingo just let one of our staff know and they will be happy to show you what to do.
Once you've arrived and swiped your card (non members can sign up at Reception in club for free and play straight away), head for the Book Sales Desk and buy tickets for the games of your choice.
One of our friendly team will help you choose all the books you need for the whole afternoon or evening.
Find yourself a seat in good time for the session - all seats give you a view of a screen so you can see the numbers come up as they're called. There will be an announcement just before each session starts, so make sure you have your dabber or pen ready for the first game. You can get these from the diner. Then when the game starts, just mark off the numbers on your ticket as they are called.
The caller will announce before each game the name of the ticket and the colour of the page. If you are unsure of what to do, just ask a member of staff or one of the members sat close by, they always help a newcomer.
If you buy a full book of 6 tickets per page you'll have all 90 possible numbers.
All the single numbers will be in the first column on the left, all the tens will be in the second column and so on. The numbers are also displayed on the big electronic screen, in case you miss any in the excitement!
When you have a complete line, two lines, or three lines (a full house) just throw your hand in the air and shout! It doesn't matter what you say ('house', 'yes'). You must shout and stop the caller before the next number is called or you will lose your claim.
A member of staff will come over to check your claim, have your membership card ready as you will need this to claim your prize. We'll pay out your winnings there and then unless you are a really big winner, when we'll arrange a special cheque.
After every half hour of bingo we take a break during which you can relax with a drink, grab a bite to eat, or play a fast and exciting game of Party Bingo. If you want to have a cigarette during the breaks you can pop outside and maybe even make new friends.
We always play Party Bingo during the intervals. These are quick fire games costing between 25p and £2 per game and the prizes can be thousands of pounds. Listen out for the caller who will let you know the amount of prize money. When you win a game, your prize money will be brought to your table immediately.
